Investigation Of Education History Of Computer Science

At present, the computer science education (CSE) research is a new subject, and it is important for CSE. In this article, I analysis and compare current and past situations of CSE of the world, particularly the CSE in the United States, The CSE in the U. S. attracts ACM from the beginning. Many papers are published in each year, which are records of CSE history. However, there are no published paper which systematically illuminate the development of CSE in the United States. We begin to pay attention to collecting materials on the develop-ment of the computer in our country. But we have not seen any related paper published yet. From the perspective of practice, we can learn from the past experience. Therefore, the re-search has great significance for computer science education to explore the development of the law to enrich computer science education system, and to promote the development of education in computer science. In this paper, we study and analyses relevant literatures sys-tematically and deeply. We also provide a method to divide the history of CSE.Problems we discuss in this paper include:First, we show the true meaning of the first electronic digital computer in the computer history which is the well known--ENIAC. However, some people believe that the German Zuse invented Z1, Z2, Z3 is the world's first electronic computer; some people believe that the Atanasoff-Berry Computer was the first electronic computer; It was also suggested that the British Colossus Mark developed during World War II was due to confidentiality considera-tions, has not been made public, it is the real world's first electronic digital computer. In this paper, analysis is shows that the ENIAC should be the first computer mostly consistent with the definition of, "Turing machine".Secondly, it is the birth of computer science. In this paper, we conclude that the computer science was born in 1962, which was marked by the establishment of the world's first com-puter science department.Third, it is the division of the computer science education. We provide a idea which di-vided the computer science into four staged: bud, birth, maturity and development through analysis the history and current situation of CSE.Through the study of the events of computer education, we recall the importance of each stage of historical events on the history of education on the significance of the computer.
