The Research Aesthetic Paradigm Of Cyber Space

Cyberspace information-space of virtual reality manipulated by computer Information Technology. It is an imaginative place where a new culture called cyberspace culture has come into being through social communication. To put it simply, cyberspace multidimensional world of virtual reality with such features as immersion, interaction, imagination and openness. Just as what has been mentioned above, cyberspace is not a real space that one could locate but only a technological means by which a brand-new aesthetic paradigm is established. It has fundamentally reshaped and continues to reshape people's perception of their existence. This paper holds that the significant influence it has exerted on the life of humanity will inevitably reflected on the aesthetic paradigm in combination with the whole aesthetic culture. Against the cultural background of cyberspace, the aesthetic paradigm takes on a visage with striking features quite different from the traditional one. In the first part, this paper explores the conception of the term"cyberspace", presents the cultural background involved in it in terms of the perfection of Technology Aesthetics, the warming-up of popular culture the rising-up of aesthetics of existence and the relationships between traditional culture and cyberspace culture . The following part expounds on the possibility of the establishment of a new aesthetic paradigm in the cyberspace, and discussed from the perspective of living styles. Firstly, The aesthetic culture in cyberspace has transformed the traditional life style. By means of electric media, it develops in the new environment a life with new experience that rise above the traditional life. This is an experience of deep involvement the virtuality, symbolism and interactiveness. Secondly, cyberspace has also changed the mode of thinking. Thirdly, the traditional aesthetic ideas are challenged by cyberspace so that the boundary between the traditional aesthetics and the non-aesthetics has become thickened. In the aesthetic philosophy, aesthetics there has taken place a transition of paradigm from subjectiveity to intersubjectivity. In cyberspace, a virtual paradigm of subjectiveity has formed. This paper analyses and reflects on the features of the aesthetic paradigm. The last part of this paper indicates the reality of the transformation of cyberspace in aesthetic paradigm, and points out the tendency of development based on this transformation, that is, toward daily existence, codification and interactive paradigm.
