As China joins the WTO,the Chinese enterprises are facing the chance and Challenge .It is important for the enterprises to promote their modernization with the Manufacturing Execution System, which can provide flexible and precise manufactory.In the tobacco industry, after the constructing persistent information system, the cigarette companies have been initially established enterprise resource planning system(MRPⅡ/ERP) as the core of enterprise management information system, to improve the management level of enterprises, but this also brings out a higher demand to information work. because the market impact to upper Production plans management become more important , in the face of more of the modified products, the corporate decision-makers recognize that the continuous adjustment of Order plan would rely on the market and the actual implementation of Order. And enterprise resource planning (MRPⅡ/ERP) system is mainly for resource planning, these systems are usually able to deal with what is happening in yesterday (for historical analysis), and can also expect the case will be happened tomorrow, but can not manage the events are taking place today. Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is just to fill this gap to manage the events happen currently.This article uses the CIMS of Qingdao Cigarette as a flat to analyze the MES practice in Chinese Tobacco enterprises. In this article the author thinks the MES is the performer between the project layer and the bottom control layer, which is used to manage the production and arrange the project. The MES is the conjunction point among the different information connected with the production process. The MES is divided into several systems ,Such as production checking up, project directive and so on. It is considerable to take into account the information from the production direct to the product made when the MES is constructed.This article give a deep research on the technical of the MES apply flat and exploitation flat. The author analyzes the advantage and defect between the"J2ee"and".NET", as well as the real-time history data and the relationship data. AS a result, the author thinks the".NET"as well as the real-time history data is a better choice.The author give a research on the integration between the bottom control layer and the MES based on the OPC , as well as the integration between the up-layer information system and the MES based on the WEB, All of these have been applied in one Cigarette factory.
