Calcination of a cement rotary kiln is important to the sintering process of cement, and it is an important factor of cement quality. Low automatic control level of many cement rotary kilns are carrying out now,only achieve DCS for romate control. During the research of automatic control and process optimize, fuzzy control and expert system are mainly based on operators experience, that is, simulating the experience of outstanding field operators and cement process experts to carry out automatic control. It could gain the optimization purpose in practice and get better effect than full manual operation, however, it has no optimization function on theory, has no rapid responsive speed and low productivity effect, the dissertation introduce predictive control into temperature control system of cement rotary kiln.First, based on the summarization of predictive control development,in the dissertation we point out that we can introduce predictive conrol into time-delay system and it will has remarkable effect by improving control performance. Second, analysising cement rotary kiln temperature control process, build a predictive model, and simulate in MATLAB based predictive control theory and compared with fuzzy control. As a conclusion, predictive control can overcome several effects of uncertainties and time delay, and control system response speedly, has relatively high robustness, has better control veracity and steady performance. The paper provide basic hardware design and partial software design, as a engineering proble, and realize real-time monitor and control the calcining section temperature of kiln based on predictive control.
