Research Of Self-adapting Distance Education Web Site Based On The Web Usage Mining

Nowadays,with the popularity of the Internet and the increasingly applied of distance education application on the Web site,the needs of accessing information from a large number of learners in order to get better and faster automatic learning mode is also increaseing.Design a suitable education Web site has become a more difficult problem. First,different learners have different learning abilities.Second,a learner in a changing environment will have different learning purpose.Again,with the passage of time and the gradually increased material,the initial study mode of learning platform will no longer appropriate.Finally,the learning platform for the actual provision of information services is often beyond the scope of its design,or even a complete change in the position. Therefore,the study of distance education platform for knowledge discovery in database system has the theoretical and practical significance.The log information of Web site server provides relevant information to users to interact with the site.By using Web data mining technology to analyses the learning mode of the user access logs,it can advance better learning mode,improve education platform automatically and adjust the internal structure.In order to solve the problem,the computer academe begins to do correlative research of self-adaptive Web site:through learning user's access mode to automatically improve the information organization and display of the Web site.This can made users easily find the information which they need most.A self-adaptive Web site can complete the improvement by itself or give some suggestion to the site administrator,etc.In this paper,we define the self-adaptive education platform,probe into the main problems of this study and specify its primary target.By using data mining technology,a system of self-adaptive education platform is developed based on existing Web sites,and then through third-party tests to prove its effectiveness.Finally,in this paper,we discuses the architecture of the self-adaptive education platform and interrelated theory along with new technology which we adopted,especially the Ajax technology application.
