While the computer 3D animation technology is developing at a high speed, the rendering speed restriction has been seriously hampering the development of animation industry. With the prevalence of digital cinema and HDTV standards, especially the increase of screen size and resolution, there has been a higher requirement for the time complexity and physical equipment of 3D animation rendering. To solve this problem, many public technology platform of rendering services and many professional rendering companies have been established both at home and abroad. Most of these cluster rendering systems apply for a single operating system, and the C/S based operation mode, which is too simple in the job service mode and has a low use of the system. In order to increase the use efficiency of cluster rendering system and optimize the service mode of rendering business, many companies have established websites for the interaction between the cluster rendering system and the user. But for most users, they have to upload the scene files and data files onto a specified ftp server of the rendering platform for a technician to operate the rendering, and if customers want to render by themselves, they have to stay at the rendering platform, which brings a lot of inconvenience and can seriously affect the use efficiency and service function of cluster rendering system.Based on Muster cluster rendering management software, this article describes how to use the advantages of different operating systems, and how to do user management and file-sharing management with a domain controller for the entire rendering platform, to design and realize the cross-platform cluster rendering, and to realize the optional regrouping, interconnecting and resource sharing among different platforms. Through the deployment of MySQL backend database for the management software of muster cluster rendering, and the flexible collocation of the uses permission for the management system of Muster cluster rendering, an effective management for the cross-platform rendering cluster system is realized. At last, this article explains how to use the JSP dynamic webpage technology to develop a Web Portal for a cross-platform cluster rendering system, to realize the registration of users, permissions distribution of different types of users, and the uploading of scenes documents and data files. Except for these, users can freely submit their rendering job, set rendering parameters, schedule rendering job, view the performance reports of rendering job and download the picture sequence of rendering output. Through the setting of relative path, it solves the issue of path dependence of the scene document, and it has realized the long-distance self-adopting rendering, which is based on the B/S way.
