With the development of the three-dimensional simulation technology, automatic generation technology has received extensive attention,because it has considerable academic value and application value in the virtual reality.This paper sees the realization of 3D visualization Levels-of-Detail landmark model as the major clue throughout the full text,focusing on the core technologies in the process of its realization of 3D visualization.The study includes the following aspects:The technology of Levels-of-Detail(LOD) will be used to improve response time of real-time system,which selected the model of the different details by judgment based on many factors of the environment.In the aspect of Model simplification,the Triangle-Removal based LOD is studied;which is a curvature-weight based LOD.It receives good effect,and Satisfies LOD.This paper presents a new collision detection algorithm based on the slice projection(SP) collision detection algorithm.It greatly improves speed of the collision detection by using the methods of slice projection.And its advantage is to maintain the superior hierarchical structure model.At the same time,it changes the collision detection of the three-dimensional model into the two-dimensional graphic of that,not only greatly improve the accuracy of the collision detection, but also makes great change in the part of real-time.For simulation of the characteristics of the terrain is usually larger,as well as the terrain block loading mechanism,combined with the region of interest method of scheduling paging features model,the model achieved a high-performance data management,ease of large amount of data memory occupancy.
