The combined follow-up platform is a kind of mechanism which can be boarded on two sets of devices. Its structure, kinematic characteristics, strength, stiffness and precision are important to the combined follow-up platform. The following work is done in this paper.The overall scheme design and structure is carried out in detail, the three-dimensional solid model of the combined follow-up platform is created by using UG software.The kinematic simulation analysis is implemented by using NX/Motion Simulation; the kinetic equation of the combined follow-up platform is derived, and the kinetic simulation analysis is implemented by using ADAMS software, and the angel velocity, the angel acceleration and motor output torque of device 1 and device 2 are mainly simulated and analyzed.The finite element analysis for the combined follow-up platform is carried out. The finite element model of the combined follow-up platform is established by UG software, and it is imported into ANSYS software, then the distribution cloud and deformation cloud of main parts is derived and analyzed, so the safety reliability of the combined follow-up platform is ensured.The error of the combined follow-up platform is analyzed. The coordinate transformation matrix between adjacent body can be decomposed into rod coordinate transformation matrix and pair coordinate transformation matrix, and the error equation of combined follow-up platform is derived by using multi-body system theory. The maximum error value of the combined follow-up platform is obtained.
