Digital Watermarking-Based Copyright Protection Management System

With digital technology and internet, it becomes quite easy to modify, duplicate and distribute digital works, which has great impact on the existing copyright protection system. Digital watermarking is a new information security technology, providing effective copyright protection for multi-media digital works.This dissertation illustrates the development, fundamental and application of digital watermarking technology, as well as its basic system frame, main algorithms and attacks, with focus on its application in digital copyright protection. On this basis, a solution of digital watermarking-based copyright protection management system is provided.In this solution, an authoritative Digital Copyright Administration is established. Through "level-by-level rights registration", the Administration generates digital watermarks of different levels, and embeds them in digital works. In the case of copyright disputes, the Administration provides reliable evidence for ownership proof.Integrating digital copyright registration, authorized trading for watermarked works and other functions, this system can be used for dynamic protection and management of digital copyright.
