After China Telecom started its operation of CDMA mobile network, the continuous coverage optimization of network has always been the key problem that has to be emphasized and solved by China Telecom in its construction of the top-quality network. The application of the repeater station is an effective method of improving the CDMA network signal coverage in the weak and blind area. The extension and coverage of the network can be effectively solved by the application of the CDMA repeater station in a scientific way. It is one of the necessary measures to achieve the"small capacity and extensive coverage". This thesis introduces the basic concept of CDMA repeater station and makes research on the interference, isolation, system parameter optimization and networking planning; summarizes the engineering implementation method and practical experience of CDMA repeater station through the sum-up of the practical work; and studies the 4 cases in detail in terms of the application of CDMA repeater station by Chongqing Telecom Co., Ltd., namely the application of CDMA repeater station in mobile network optimization, achieving the tunnel coverage through CDMA repeater station, temporary substitution of CDMA main network equipment with CDMA repeater station to solve the coverage problem and the reconstruction of CDMA repeater station after the launch of DO. Through the engineering case study of the CDMA repeater station application, this thesis elaborates the work flow of the flexible use of CDMA mobile network in engineering and the points for attention. This thesis contains both theory and application. Its research result and practical experience are the beneficial reference to the CDMA mobile telecommunication engineering.
