| The huge success of The 2008 Beijing Olympics Games and The 2010 World Cup in South Africa will never be forgotten, meanwhile sports news report about those games and matches in either forms, content or dimensions has achieved a new high level. When sports news reports also made great development in our country at the same time, it's so required for us to analysis and research the shortage and the features of the sports news presently, especially compared to those sports news from western media, sports news report still has inherent complexity and limitations in our country.This paper will comprehensively comparing and analyzing the different characteristics in Chinese and Western sports news reports about the two big events from three elements:the report concept, the content and the reporting techniques. To analyses the deep reason behind this differentiation from four aspects:the news spread system, the thought idea, cultural background and the audience demand in case of the disadvantages and improvements of Chinese sports news report history. The comparison between Chinese and western sports news would helped to explores the suitable way for sports news reporting foe China's national conditions, thus better to accommodate current demand of the sports audience group and to accept the worldwide advanced concepts of community sports journalism.
