Study On Scientific Research Management System Based On SOA

As the computer technology being used in various fields, management infomationization has become the developing trend, so is the university scientific research information management. This thesis'subject comes from Huazhong University of Science and Technology who wants to design its scientific research information management system. A solution based on service-oriented architecture has been researched and designed.In this thesis, the background and necessity of the scientific research information management system, and the current situation of the technique application of system architecture home and abroad. By analyzing the requirement of this system by now and future, and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of these system architecture method, the method using Web Services as the method to implement SOA has been presented. Web Services is the most advanced technology of SOA, and it's related with XML/XML Schema, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI, which have been introduced in detail. Much comprehensive analysis of system function, business process and the design of Web Services have been afforded, and Visual Studio 2005 has been chosen as the platform to design the Web Services and the web page of the system. Developing detailed process including the implementation, publishing and using of Web Services, difficult points and Web Services running principle are described in the realization stage of the scientific research system which is easy to integration, interaction, extension and data sharing. It's also provided that the measures of system security, and SSL is used to protect the data transmission on internet. Finally, the thesis gives the deficiency of the design and some following work to do about the SOA technology in the future.System architecture of SOA, the main trend of architecture, avoids the interaction problem between platforms having different architectures and programming languages, solved systems'integration, interaction, extension and data sharing. In a word, it's a well method of scientific research system's architecture.
