The Industrial Wireless Sensor Networks are the self-organized, distributed network intelligent system composed by the sensor nodes, which is disposed in industrial environment in order to contribute to the industrial operation. Wireless Sensor Networks (WSNs),are an entirely new technology which has been sprung up for the last few years. Nowadays, the advantage of the industrial wireless sensor networks in industry is found by more and more people, and along with that one of the most important problems is how to realize the industrial wireless sensor networks which have good qualities in reliability.According to the performance indexes, the reliability of the industrial wireless sensor networks, the performance indexes from the protocol structure and also their effect on the system reliability will be analyzed. Based on the framework, three key issue will be studied:Reliability indexes model. As the foundation of the reliability evaluation, the main performance indexes will be studied, and reliability indexes system will be built up, through which the relationship of the indexes will be studied.Methods to reliability evaluation. The methods of the reliability evaluation will be studied. The most important method is to transit the indexes into the same dimension and integrate the cell reliability into the system reliability in numerical way.Design of evaluation tool. The software implement is to select a appropriate arithmetic to calculate the reliability in numerical way according to the reliability model. Considering the maintainability and expansibility of the tool, the designer used the modular method at the very beginning of the design. So, the tool was divided into five modules functionally, including user interface module, indexes model generator module, evaluation model generator module, calculation and evaluation module and curve module. By using this method, designers have established the solid foundation for the farther development of the tool.In conclusion, this dissertation studied the reliability of the industrial wireless sensor networks, Based on this work,other issues could be discussed further,and the applications of industrial wireless sensor networks will be expediently applied to other areas.
