In the resent few years, a kind of web application called"Social Network Service"became a hot issue of the internet industry. In China, many social networking websites are established and widely used by internet users. The internet market competition is so fierce that the social networking websites in China need to find their own marketing strategies to gain development and to stand out from the crowd.This thesis is written in a practical and innovative way. The first two chapters emphasize the importance of social networking websites marketing through analyzing the concept, features, functions, development situation and main problems of present social networking websites. The third and fourth chapters summarize the unique marketing plan of social networking websites which is different from that of traditional websites, and provide innovative business model and marketing maneuvers for social networking websites. As social networking websites are based on the social relationships among people, the first step of marketing is to attract and unite the users so as to acquire stable user resources and their relationship resources. Then we start to analyze how to change these resources into economic interests. Therefore this thesis not only analyzes the marketing strategies quoted for different user groups, but also brings out the profit model of social networking websites by claiming that they should cooperate with others like media, advertisers, telecom operators, application developers etc. In its last part, the thesis explores and forecasts the future development of social networking websites.
