Study On Directions Of Public Opinion Of University Newspaper Toward Construction Of Harmonious Campus

First,the paper discourses on the theoretical necessity of directions of public opinion for a university newspaper to construct a harmonious campus.Our nation is in the new period of constructing a harmonious society.The construction of a harmonious campus is an objective need when the scientific concept of development is put into practice and the education can get an all-round and balanced development and it is also an important strategic task for the stability of overall situation when a university is reforming to develop.The university newspaper is faced with the challenge of being marginalized by the widely acknowledged mainstream media.However,the university newspaper plays a necessary role when the harmonious campus is constructed and the directions of public opinion are needed.So this study has theoretical and practical values.Second,the paper surveys and analyzes the current situation when the university newspaper plays a role of directions of public opinion.The result of the survey to the 1000 college students shows that the university newspaper does a lot of job to construct a harmonious campus and achieves a certain achievements,yet it still has such weaknesses as poor readability,insufficient information, weak awareness of readers toward the paper and lower medium qualities of readers.It is found out that although the direction of public opinion has no ideological bias,the effect is not well expected and has a certain gap compared with the expectation as an executive paper.Because of poor readability,insufficient information and careless edition and revising,it has a certain gap compared with the reads' expectation.Because of the lower medium qualities and fervency of readers,it has a certain gap compared with the paper's public creditability and the effect of direction to people.So the direction of public opinion is waiting for further improving.Last,the suggestions are put forward for the directions of public opinion when the university paper tries to construct a harmonious campus.The first,the Marxism concept of directions of public opinion must be set up.The second,the medium resources must be integrated to direct the campus public opinion.The third,the principles of news must be followed to improve the attraction of the directions of public opinion.The fourth,the staff of university paper should be trained better.The fifth,the sense of news,preciseness and equality should be set up to help construct the harmonious campus.
