With the further development of communication and network technologies,multimedia communication,such as the transmission of voice,data and image,has becomes a research hot spot.The throughput of data transmission service inereases exponentially,so it requires the communication transmission systems providing much enhanced data progressing ability and stability.So,survivability has become part of SDH network requirements.Because service interruptions(due to result of high-speed SDH system failure)are very serious in existing network.They are not affordable from a business perspective.Self-healing network based on SDH have multiple functions,such as:protection,realtime check and control,transmission,network management.The performance of SHR which is consederded as an important performance guidline of SDH transmission equipment capabilities,has great effect on the whole optic communication.This paper introduces the video exchange self-healing network base on SDH,network composition and distribution,core switch and self-healing module,present the hardware design.Combination of integrated self-healing algorithm, video exchange self-healing system's algorithm which information dissemination mechanism,switching time,network capacity are detailed and systematic analysised from theory.The network survivability's mathematical model and theoretical simulation results are present from mathematical.Finally,video exchange self-healing system based on SDH used in practical engineering,the relevant functional parameters and technical indicators are tested in detail.Elaborate the protection channel delay,system protection model and recovery process.The test results and related functions of the technical indicators are analysised from theory in detail.
