IEEE 802.15.4 standard is a low data rate WPAN(LR-WPAN) standard,it has low complexity, low cost, low power characteristics,it provides transmissions among low-cost equipments with low data rate.Due to these characteristics, IEEE 802.15.4 standard is very adaptable to wireless sensor networks. The Route is one of the most important issues of the wireless sensor networks. In recent years,6LoWPAN Working Group has developed some drafts such as LOAD based on AODV,aiming at resolving the LoWPAN network mesh routing problem. The main thesis of this work includes an in-depth study of the AODV routing protocols and LOAD routing protocols, proposing a new routing protocol LOW-AODV,implementation of LOAD and LOW-AODV routing protocol in NS-2,and simulation among the above three routing protocol as well as comparation and analysis of the simulation result.Firstly, this work provides an overview of wireless sensor network technology, IEEE 802.15.4 standard and a brief description of the NS-2.Secondly,this work details the AODV and LOAD agreement and its working principle.Taking into account the limited energy of the wireless sensor network node,in order to extend the survival time of the whole network,LOW-AODV is proposed to resolve these kind of application. Then detailedly describes the implementation of AODV,LOAD and LOW-AODV Routing Protocol in NS-2 simulation platform.Thirdly, this work designs simulation scenes for the above three protocols, compares and analyses the data delivery rate, the average load routing, end-to-end data transmission delay and the network survival time simulation results. Finally, this work summarizes the work done by all.According to analysis of the simulation results of the above protocol,we give a corresponding conclusion and discuss future work view.
