Research And Development On The Network Technology Education Software Of TCP/IP Stack

With the fast development of the internet techniques and the arrival of the internet era, especially the generation of the more and more new generation network standard, representing by the IPv6 standard, the quality and quantity of the storage of the network technology has become an important icon of the country's strength, and has a direct link with the development capacity of the country. The need to further strength the research of the internet technology and to train a group of specialists on internet technology has become even more urgent. TCP/IP protocol stack is now the most important network structure standard in the world, so it has naturally become the hot spot for research.Based on the main structure of the TCP/IP network system, this paper has discussed the composition and the technique details of each layer of TCP/IP structure. After introduction of the related background knowledge, the paper illustrates a set of experimental platform with the presentation of network structure and the steps of the experiments, which has also got an embedded terminal and packet analysis tool. Secondly the paper discussed the design and usage process of a software including packet send, receive and analysis. In the later part, after giving some related knowledge of the Socket programming, we discussed how to design a network chatting tool..All these work are done in the working environment of Linux(Fedora 4).All of the graphical interface are completed using GTK+ 2.0 toolbox, and isdesigned to meet the functions of the network programs. There is also related introduction of assemble part on how to let the interface and the network program work together properly.This set of software gets friendly user interface, practicability and would greatly inspire the passion for network knowledge studying of the students. The programs adopting the tool Libpcap and Libnet use different layer compared to the programs using the Socket tool, so the set of software covers different aspect of the network research, thus would to help to promote the users'understanding the function pattern of the network.
