The problem of water pollution in cities is increasingly serious, and the most urgent task is the treatment of sludge. Compared with the traditional dewatering equipment, the centrifuge has the advantages of higher efficiency, better separated effect and less investment cost. Based on the technologies of PLC control, touch screen configuration and motor drive control, the sludge dewatering control system is designed and realized in this paper.Based on the status quo of sludge dewatering control system, the dewatering principle of horizontal screw-conveyor centrifuge,the working principle of three-phase asynchronous motor and the frequency convertion principle of inverter are analized to accomplish the modular design of sludge dewatering control system; Based on the modular function and control objective of sludge dewatering control system, the hardware circuit of sludge dewatering control system is designed; Through the comparative study of the PLC control objective and inverter connection mode, the communication of PLC and inverter is designed based on the Modbus protocol; According to the modular design of sludge dewatering control system, combined with Modbus master library, scaling library and PID Wizard, Siemens STEP7-Micro/WIN programming software is applied to design the PLC control program; Based on the platform of Siemens SIMATIC WinCC flexible, the configuration tools are applied to design the control interface on the touch screen.Based on the PLC controller, the design and realization of sludge dewatering control system can obviously improve the degree of automation and highly increase the productivity, while reducing the incidence of fault and inopportune operation. Interactive touch-screen control terminal operator has no button, so that the operation of complex equipment is simple and convenient. The dynamic conditions of equipment can be easily understanded and the users can deal with the timely processing of all kinds of unexpected situations.
