Web-Based Three-Dimensional Graphics Research

Since the late 20th century, the internet technology-mainly represented by the web technology-has been rapidly developed and it had penetrated in many aspects of common life. not only it was utilized to browse and publish information, but also its friendly and uniform interface , agile and efficient remote communication method were used for business and enterprise information management .Firstly, this thesis will simply introduce the currently-in-use technology of Internet, the structure of World Wide Web and the Web, in which B/S system was selected as the framework of the Web structure. Then, the author will use Java, client-side Java Applet and server-side Java servlet technologies to develop small programs on both the client and server side in which the 3D communication mechanism of network will be implemented. At last, author will use Java 3D model language to develop a network-based 3D graphic system which will complete the rough development of dot, line and face in the model system and also, accumulate experiences for deeper research.The other things must be note that the feasibility of network-based 3D graphic system will be technologically proved, so then the prototype of it can be presented later. Based on them, the network-based modeling of simple 3D objects, interactive graphic operation and server-side calculations will be also presented.
