Three-dimension reconstruction is an importance research point in ScientificVisualization. In this thesis, an improved approach of wavefront algorithm for automatictriangulation of scattered data is presented. A cubic triangular B -B surfaceinterpolation was obtained on the basis of triangulation. And then surface fitting wasaccomplished, which based on double B-spline. Meanwhile,the introduction of Java3Dand how to use it was given. At last, used the arithmetic mentioned in the thesis;athree-dimension surface was represented by Java3D with the scattered data measuredfrom the surface of coal area. The result surface is same to the practicality, and thecharacteristics of coal area surface were expressed well. The validity and feasibility ofthis method was proved by a given example.
