Orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) is considered as one of the preferred technologies of the new generation wireless communication systems. In the background of spectral efficiency increase and transmission reliability improvement for the new generation wireless communication systems, adaptive link transmission parameter adjustment has recently become an emphasis of research. There are three problems in adaptive transmission technology. Firstly, the channel quality information (CQI) estimation at receiver; secondly, CQI feedback; and, finally, adaptive control on the link parameters based on feedback information at transmitter.This paper emphasizes on the construction of feedback information and power control based on the CQI. In terms of CQI parameter, we investigate the available kinds of CQI parameters. From the investigation this paper proposes a new feedback scheme. This scheme has simple process of parameter construction and low computational complexity. Furthermore, as to power control, this paper proposed a new scheme also. This scheme is of improved effectiveness and makes full use of the adaptive transmission technology. More over, it can improve the reliability and capacity performance of the transmission, and greatly reduce the interference and system consumption.
