Study Of Testing Methods And System Design Of Wireless Security Protocols

The research of protocols testing still focus on the conformance test of communication protocols now. There is a relatively complete and automatic suit of testing technique on the conformance test of communication protocols, but the theory is still far away from practical use. However, as a subtype of network protocols, the wireless security protocols do not have a simply and feasible testing method yet.Therefore, by analyzing the characteristics of the wireless security, the paper regards that the key points of testing should be conformance test and security test. The conformance test is mainly check the consistency between the implementation and the specifications, ensuring the correct functioning of the implementation. While the security test is mainly check whether there is any security violation, estimating the security performance.On the conformance testing part, a procedure aim at testing the consistency of the wireless security protocols is put forward to meet the demand of the project. The modified algorithm of automatically producing test sequences is pertinence, efficient and mature. To confirm the states and transitions, a method is presented, which can uniquely identify all the symbols in the input/output set based on fields analyzing.On the security testing part, classical and latest research means are investigated, their strong and weak points are also summarized. And the procedure of security testing based on black-box checking theory and learning algorithm is extended to detect which period brings in security flaws during the protocols engineering. Finally, a testing system which is easy to use, efficient and extensible is designed to integrate all the research accomplishment.
