As the development of microelectronics technology, FPGA chips are playing an increasingly important role in the modern digital circuits design. The research goal of this project is to design and develop an advanced FPGA design technique and supporting software system with self-owned intellectual property rights. This thesis puts forward a brand new programming file format based on the self-designed FPGA chip structure. The programming file adopts binary system as storage format, and it defines the chip's structure of the target device and the storage structure of programmable information. An assembling tool has been developed on the Linux platform in language C/C++. Using the standard case library as test samples, this program can successfully achieve binary bit-stream files, which proves the fine combinability of the assembling program with other modules of FPGA supporting software system and the ability of completing the auto-design of FPGA.
