This paper presents a new type of temperature compensated crystal oscillator based on stress.The frequency of the resonator changes according to the temperature and the stress applied on it.The technique introduced in the paper makes use of the relation between the two physical characteristics of force-frequency and temperature-frequency to compensate the crystal resonator. The design idea and realization of the compensation are given in detail, and experimental data shows that the resonator can achieve a frequency-temperature stability of±10ppm in the range of -45℃~+90℃without compensating circuit. This new type temperature compensation crystal oscillator not only can obviously widen the scope of chosen crystal, get high frequency-temperature stability, but also can predigest all kinds of circuits in temperature compensation. This new type resonator not only can chose At-cut fundamental frequency crystal, but also can use AT-cut and SC-cut overtone ones. So we can span the scope to chose crystal. This new high stability crystal oscillator will can obviously simplify, or else make out all the circuit of temperature compensation, and its small volume, low cost, low power, can got wide space. |
