The Development And Research Of On-Line Examination System Based On The ASP

Many applied systems based on the technologies of network and database have been improved in recent years with the great development of computer technology and the enlargement of applied network technology fields. The network education has a great effect on talent education through the world.The efficiency of all the work in colleges has been improved with the full use of network. The traditional exam paper has been replaced with all kinds of modern exam approaches in different fields, and On-line Examination system will be the main trend in the future. The On-line Examination system can realize the paperless test, what the teacher should do is to input all the test questions to form a database, students can start their exams after login. The On-line Examination system can save resources for colleges.This paper introduces the design and technology of On-line Examination system based on ASP, including the demand analysis and the feasibility study, the general and specific design of the system, the analysis and design of the database. This paper special tells the design of every function parts.This paper aims at the following works:(1) Making a clearing statement of the backgrounds and contents of the item, the meaning of On-line Examination system.(2) The demands and feasibility study of On-line Examination systemIn modern society, it demands us to reform the means of teaching and testing, to meet the needs of society and the students, and testing is the most effective way to measure the work of the students.The traditional Examination system has its own disadvantages:First, the traditional Examination system demands a large number of teachers, causes the waste of paper and time.Second, the teacher's personal intention may affect the result of the test. Third, there are not enough teachers to finish the testing work effectively with the enlarge enrollment in recent years, so the traditional Examination system is out of time already.With the above reasons, according to the facts and needs of our college, we have development the On-line Examination system.(3) The realization of the design of On-line Examination system. Introduce general structures and functions of the system, also concerns the detail function analysis and the design of the database.There are two parts we should know about the development of web program, design tools and database, I adopt ASP as the technology support, take Dreamweaver as the design tools, and SQL Server as the database to construct a On-line Examination system.The On-line Examination system can realize the management of the objective test, the formation of the test contents, the On-line test, auto examination of test papers, and score-counting.The On-line Examination system can be applied not only in final examinations, but also in chapter or unit test, so we adopt the approach of random test.The general plan is using equipment room and campus network to realize On-line test. Make full use of the B/S pattern in the design, taking SQL Server2000 as the database, the system can be applied to most campus network, and also to personal computer. Due to the B/S pattern, the system can guarantee the security, and avoids the complicated operation of the database. The design basically shows us the techniques of constructing a dynamic website.(4)After the open of the system, it can realize the combination of website design, applied programs and database.It is a complicated and hard work to finish the development of a system, it concerns the demands of the software (function, performance, conditions, security), the design of the software ( general construction, function, the design of the database, data flow diagram), detail design ( pattern's function, flow diagram, data description, test), the technology of realization.Up to now, the system has been developed and under testing, the design is successful, the system is stable and easy to sue. But the system still has a long way to go, to perfect and improve.
