In fact, the transmission of monitor information will be influenced, even break on by background flow in network. But, it's difficult to exact judge to this. If the influence is too big to real monitor units, May have a major impact, or a mistake of judgment, even influence normal business. So, it's very important and necessary that analysis of impact of background flow. Because the network is working on, the large-scale test environment required for research and analysis is very difficult to build up in reality. So Network simulation is only possible solution.Network simulation is a basic method of network technology research. In some course of the research with some reasons, the real network is a higher price or unrealistic. Under these circumstances, simulation is the best method of testing, evaluation and verification. Network Simulation has the characteristic of a short cycle, and low cost. NS2, Network Simulation version 2, is simulating platform with open source code, and free. It contains very rich modules, almost all the technical aspects of the network. Therefore, NS2 became widely used in academic circles at present. In the academic of network technology published every year at home and abroad, most articles are about the use of NS. The findings in this way are also being accepted by the academic community. The research and analysis of this article is carried out in the environment build up with NS2.The basic idea of the program is. Firstly, building up the simulate network environment, and adding in the background flow. Secondly, adding in the testing flow with compare data our designed, then, run it. Finally, analysis the trace result, get out the appropriate conclusions. The basic process is:1. Set up the topology structure of simulate network, in this point, we can determined the property of the link, such as delay Strategy and drop Strategy. Set up the protocol agent, including the equipment side of the binding agreement and the volume of business communication model.2. Configures parameters of testing flow model, and set up the object to Trace. The NS saved the whole process in the Trace file. After simulation, the user can research to analysis the file.3. Simulate with NS. And analyses the Trace file, gain the useful data.4. Adjust and configured the topology structure and the testing flow model, re-simulation of the above process.To achieve a specific time, we should do specific setting based on the factors of initial and distinct the background flow and the testing flow. Secondly, design the background flow. The protocol allowed by NS is very rich; we only use the data of TCP in the article.2. Design the testing flowIn the article, we pay attention to the influence of the sending pocket interval and the pocket size except for the background flow. Based on the cerebration of contrast analysis, we designed variety model of testing flow, including the model based on background and non-background, the model with shorter interval and longer interval, the model with bigger pocket and littler pocket. We write code to extract data, and get graph of these data use the software to research and analysis.From the experiments, we conclude that: 1,The background flow have bigger influence to transmission of monitor information. The more background flow, the greater the impact of monitor information.2. Based on background flow, we can reduce the influence by changing some Network performance parameters. Such as, we can increase the interval of sending pocket, or reduce the pocket size to improve the transmission quality of the monitor information.The content to be further studied: The network simulation's goal is get consistent between simulate result and the reality.
