The working environment of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle(AUV) where in blue water is very risky. It costs so much to develop an AUV. The data or the collection that AUV attained when working was very valuable. For ROV which carries people, the safety of itself is much more important. It is disastrous if the AUV is lost in the sea, and it also a expense of ocean development. So it is very important to research the self-rescue system for AUV.At the background of developing the self-rescue equipment for Department of Military Equipments, which is one of the important project preview researched in the eleventh"Five-year Plan", this paper discusses and researches in several sides which is given below:1. Study the development of AUV of domestic and foreign status, and discuss the importance and necessary of self-system of AUV.2. Make the reliability analysis and design for the self-rescue system; make the calculation and low power consumption design for the self-rescue system; make the miniaturization design for the self-rescue system.3. Study the hardware and soft ware framework of system, and design the the hardware and soft ware framework of self-system. Compare with the different MCU, select a super low power consumption MCU MSP430F149 as the controller of the system; compare with the different software framework, select a appropriate real time operation system(RTOS)-uC/OS as the software framework.4. Present a solution of the interfacing between 3V system and 5V system.5. Complete the programming of the software of the self-rescue system.6. Complete the debugging of the system in lab.
