Storage Management Operating System Construction And Optimization

As the importance of information technology increases rapidly,we face the challenge of new system fast introducting ,integration ,E-commerce ,flexible framework and etc.The complexity of storage framework and resources demand system administrator spending much time on managing the storage resources.How to design a cheap and easy-using storage management system becomes the focus of storage industry.In order to manage massive information , it need to manage all device of network storage system, provide changeableness storage service to consumer, and assume the availability and security of data.For two kinds of typical network storage server: Network Attached Storage (NAS) and Storage Area Networks (SAN), we discuss how to develop their storage management system based on analyzed their structure and characteristic for middle or small enterprise.Combine the already existed storage management system's operating system and the storage demand of enterprise, the system is constructed with Linux From Scratch(LFS) method to build, customize and cut Linux operating system.The system has full function, little size, could be resumed and easy to upgrade.According the constructed operating system,we adjust the filesystem and optimize the performance of web server, Email server, NFS server and Samba server.Against the secuity of storage management system,we discuss the Security issues of kerne, filesystem, user and network service, enhance the secuity by using LIDS, PAM, shadow passwd and control the user competence of root.At last ,we use the firewall to enhance the network security of storage operating system.From the aboving research of LFS operating system,this article supply the method and theory of developing the bottom of storage management system.According the test of the operating system which is optimized by several measures ,we prove the operating system is fit for the storage management system。...
