The rapid development of computer science has brought endless vitality for the development of information management systems. With the development of microelectronic technology and photonics technology, the computer has entered the mobile era and the popularity of mobile computing systems is being increased, with PDA(personal digital assistant) as its representative. So the seamless combination of the main mobile system with the huge digital space through the use of mobile computer is no longer a fantasy.Using the on-rising mobile technology, combined with Chinese and English information technology, a PDA information management system with searching function was introduced in this paper. A number of information management functions in PDA equipment using this system have been achieved, but more importantly, it is the mobile equipment software system that enables the information management services to subscribers anytime.Adopting PDA hardware platform and Microsoft Embedded Visual C++ 4.0 programming environment,using single Chinese character and English word searching algorithm combined with Chinese words matching technology, this system achieves the fast search of both Chinese and English key word and improves the information management greatly. Using 802.11 wireless LAN technologies, this system provides wireless communication services, enabling document wireless receiving and sending. In this system, document encryption and decryption functions have been achieved by adopting relative E-Document storage encryption technology, thus the information processing security can be guaranteed.Quick search of Chinese and English key words in PDA equipment is the core of this paper. Also, taking PDA features into account that the equipment has a relatively low frequency and very limited memory space, the paper takes single Chinese character or English word as the searching base, thus a large number of words division computation has been avoided and the efficiency of information searching has been greatly increased.
