A New Entitlement Scheme For Conditional Access System Of Mobile TV

With the recent revolutionized advancement in information technology, Mobile TV which is the combined product of advanced digital television and electronic technologies, conquers all the shortcomings of traditional television and makes use of the modern digital signal processing and channel modulation technologies to accomplish various digital-related services. Conditional access system acts as a key role in the mobile TV broadcasting system. Because of the conditional access system's speciality and sensitivity, it is urgent for China to develop a standard for conditional access system by itself. So this thesis focuses on the conditional access system in this dissertation. A brief introduction of the content is as below:Firstly, this thesis introduces the features and the developing history of mobile TV. Then an overview on the development of conditional access system of mobile TV is presented, and some conditional access system's problems are also analyzed. So this thesis designs a conditional access system of mobile TV adopting four-level-encryption, and the corresponding ECM and EMM entitlement message structures are also introduced.Key distribution and entitlement management are the most important parts of a conditional access system, so this thesis mainly focuses the research on these terms. A new scheme of group authorization is brought out in this dissertation, and its performance is analyzed and the results can satisfy the current demands of conditional access system. Finally, this thesis analyzes its security and puts forward some proper preventive measures. The scheme is not only to be implemented easily and to reduce maintenance cost but also greatly improves the efficiency and capacity of the mobile TV broadcasting system. It has reference value for the design of the domestic conditional access system of mobile TV and provides a design concept.
