The Realization Of Embedded Web Server Based On ARM

In web communication, applications interact with each other in C/S mode. Traditional serve applications usually work in a mainframe computer with an advanced operating system. Such application needs strong support from hardware and software. Embedded web server implements server's hardware and software function by using embedded system. It is an integration of embedding technology and web. Compared with traditional serve, embedded web server is simple, small, reliable and convenient. It develops fast because of such advantages. However, embedded web server also has some weakness compared to traditional server. The latter can serve much accessing at one time. It has strong processor and memory in hardware, and it was supported by business database in software. But embedded equipment has lower power of process and limited save capability. So, using resource properly is important in designing process.The realization of the embedded web server based on ARM is mainly explained in the paper. There are generally two realizations for the embedded web server, one is implanting the BOA which is an open source software of embedded web server, another is writing application program personally. The multiple accesses are expected, while the BOA can only realize single access, so I wrote application program myself. The program runs successfully which achieves the original goal of realizing the function of web server.In this paper, a hardware platform of embedded system is built in, uClinux operating system is transformed into ARM chip, developing environment is also set up, then an application is realized using Linux web programming technique, which makes the embedded system work as a Web Server. In the end, the information transformed by internet is tested, the result show that this embedded web server can interact with client quickly and correctly.
