In daily life, noise is normally considered as a harmful factor for information detection. In last two decades, however, the discovery of stochastic resonance(SR) reveals the defect of this assertion, In certain nonlinear systems, addition of appropriate amount of noise can enhance signal to facilitate signal detection in noisy environments.Stochastic resonance is a new and very important embranchment in the nonlinear science field. SR system is a nonlinear system. Input the signal and noise into the system. With the noise being added to a proper value, the system will show stochastic resonance and enhance the output signal. The SR technology is better than the traditionary signal detecting method. This paper introduces the history, status and development of Stochastic resonance, and the statement of Stochastic resonance theory. With farther research into the Stochastic resonance mechanism, this technology is becoming a new technology for detecting weak signals overwhelmed in strong noise. So that, to study Stochastic resonance technology and apply it into actual signal detecting will greatly make sense. This paper researched the physics mechanism of SR and extend it to the field of engineering application: For simulating the SR circumstance, we designed a testing equipment that based on ARM processor. The job provide a foundation for the practical applying on detecting weak signals. This paper has introduced the design scheme and consisting modules of the hardware and software detailedly, Realization of the system interface and the debugging and testing of sofeware.
