Stochastic Resonance(SR) theory is developed in the past three decades as asignal processing theory, and the principle is to add a noise of certain intensityinto a specific system, making some energy of noise into energy of useful signals,thus improving the signal to noise ratio. After decades of development, thestochastic resonance theory has matured and in physics, geography, biology,medicine, engineering and other fields there is a wide range of applications.Array processing methods have been widely used in signal processing field,in recent years it is also to be used in the stochastic resonance systems, such asSuprathreshold Stochastic resonance and other methods, and has achieved goodresults. In the existing system of Stochastic Resonance, the bistable stochasticresonance system is the first to be discovered, and also the most basic system.Therefore, the use of an array method to improve a bistable stochastic resonanceis of great significance. Based on these considerations we propose a new kind ofbistable stochastic resonance systems based on parallel arrays. This method isbased on the traditional bistable stochastic resonance systems, form the bistablesystems together into a parallel array. It has simple structure, and is easy toimplement.In this article based on the classical stochastic resonance system, weproposed an array system which consisting of two bistable systems and did thetheoretical performance analysis, according to the system output signal to noiseratio(SNR) expression, comparing with the traditional bistable systems, theoutput SNR of the method is two-fold. Furthermore we extend the number ofbistable systems from two to multiple, the mathematical model is established,and we calculate output power spectral density(PSD) of the system, and thencome to the output SNR expression of the system. At the conditions of differentinput signal and noise, we simulated and analyzed, and can get some conclusions.Along with the increase in the number of bistable systems, the output SNR of thesystem is also increased, but the effect of the increasing is nonlinear. Followedby simulation analysis, we study the effect on the output of the system bydifferent amplitudes and frequency of the input signal and different parameters ofthe system.
