Research On Transaction-Committing Protocol In Grid-DBMS

Grid, which is called the third revolution of internet, has a big progress after being taken into thought in the middle 1990s.The database in grid environment is an important part of data grid, while transaction committing protocol is a key point in transaction management. Database in grid is a job to make database existed usable in grid environment, which insure the users of grid or net manage the isomerous database through grid database service, and the goal is to access the data resource more crystal, efficiently and credibly, to deal with the grid data better and to fulfill the request of management of data in virtual organize. The transaction committing protocol existed, such as the committing protocol in the distributed environment, can't be used in grid environment completely, so it is a meaning job to do some research in transaction committing protocol in grid environment.Now there are two models of transaction in grid environment; one is based on agent and the other is based on OGSA-DAI, and they bring forward their topology configuration respectively. Some scholars put forward some committing protocol according to such architectures, which take the committing protocol in distributed environment (mainly the 2PC protocol) into thought. They can fulfill the flow of transaction committing in distributed environment, but pay little attention to the new traits in grid environment, such as service-oriented and dynamic character, so these protocols can't be used in grid environment completely.By introducing the traits in grid environment and analyzing the reason why the transaction committing protocol in the distributed environment can't be used in grid environment, a model based on SDG and OGSA-DAI grid transaction, which is fit to the long-term and dynamic characters, and can visit the database dynamic based on service will be described. A grid transaction committing protocol based on the model based on SDG and OGSA-DAI will be provided and compared with the one existed and proved its correctness.
