With the large-scale expansion of network, the information sources on internet are increasing sharply. How to get needed content of the information sea becomes a popular question for discussion.This High-speed Internet Information Filtering System mainly focuses on the node of backbone net, and its function is to fulfill packets' searching and filtering in 10 Gbps network with line rate. When packet is sent in from the optical fiber, optical receive module performs the transformation from optical signals to electric signals, then the packet going through physical floor and data-link floor, comes to the inner of network process. Network process takes charge of packet management, based on certain rules, searching information using ternary contnet addressable memory. The result of searching decides the packet's direction, be abandonded or be sent to data management terminals. According to the function requirement of this information filtering system and special effects and characters of some significant hardware components, the system's hardware configuration is designed. The software frame of this system is made on the basis of the level-designing methods and the system hardware structure.In an internet information filtering system, main difficulties involve in packet's management and searching. Information filtering system adopts IXP2800 as processor chip, and trys hard to make use of its optimal performance. On the other hand, in order to resolve the problem of searching efficiency, this information filtering system uses special hardware searching technology: ternary content addressable memory, which can search a mass of information in a short time. Based on the system's requirment, the driver program and application program of the ternary content addressable memory are designed and implemented.The result of peformance test and efficiency test proves that this system can meet the fast and accurate requirments of High-speed Internet Information Filtering System.
