Digital inspection is one of the most important technologies for the enterprise to improve efficiency and level of measurement. The acquirement, management and statistical analysis of the metrical data are the key and basic technologies to carry the digital measurement into execution. Thereby, it is significant for the enterprise to improve production quality and to make rapid response to market.In this paper, the enterprise'production status and primary problems are investigated and summarized; the users'needs of data management and statistical system in the digital inspection environment are analyzed. Successionally, the structure of digital measurement and data analysis system is designed, and the functions should be included in this system are analyzed.In this system, data obtained from digital equipment is also dealt with digitally. The CMM (Computer Measuring Machines) is taken as an example to illustrate the process of direct access of digital measurement. According to the characteristic and structure, XML (eXtensible Markup Language) technology is applied to accomplish the customization function; thereby the data can be output in electronic form instead of manuscript used before. And when the trait of the production management is also considerate, the BOM (Bill Of Materials) technology is applied to accomplish organization and management of the measurement data.As the multi-specification & small volume production becomes more and more popular, a new statistical process control method is proposed. This method can set the steady control limit at the beginning of the product process, so the problem that the traditional statistical method cannot be applied in the small batch production is solved better. This new method is proved correct and effective by an illustration and the compared result with the other statistical method.Based on the research above, the prototype system is developed, which is proved effective in the aspect of electronic management for the measurement data, the form customization function and the statistical analysis in the small batch production.
