High Altitude Platform System has become a hot research topic in the wireless communication area due to its prominent features. Because of the difficulty of high data rate modulation & demodulation, its relay transmission system becomes a challenging problem. In order to meet the requirement of the high data rate, high spectral efficiency, as well as work in complex channels, this thesis studies the OFDM simulations and its FPGA realizations.This thesis mainly focuses on the Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) implementation of OFDM. The main contributions are as follows:1,This thesis gives a detailed statement of the High Altitude Platform System models, and compares various modulation & demodulation methods. This thesis chooses OFDM as the modulation & demodulation technology fit for High Altitude Platform System Application.2,Based on the research of the principles of OFDM, this thesis simulates and analyzes the performance of OFDM under MATLAB environment, also compares the performance of different channel estimation algorithms, such as LS,MMSE,LMMSE.3,This thesis completes the FPGA design of the OFDM baseband modulation. |
