Consumer Electronics Virtual Product Prototyping Method And An Example Based On Virtools

At present, in the field of consumer electronics product development, the speed of new product coming into market is getting faster than ever before. Only through shortening the product development cycle, improving product quality, reducing production costs, enterprises could be undefeated in fierce competition. Obviously, by applying virtual reality technology to rapid product prototyping could shorten product development cycle, improve quality and enhancing enterprise competitiveness to some extent.This paper will take consumer electronics product as an example to research how to apply virtual reality to current design process, how to use software to make a virtual prototype of a certain product and how to use the software to simulate certain functions of a product.
