Research On Web Service Of Application In Workflow Management System

Workflow is a standardized business process control and management technology, and it is a computer model which describes the business process. With the development of Internet and computer technology, enterprise applications from the initial application of a single function, the integration of department-level applications gradually to the integration of customers and suppliers, cross-enterprise integration and dynamic e-commerce With the need for dynamic integration of a growing number of distributional, isomerous enterprise applications, traditional integration technologies are unable to adapt to the demand. With the constantly mature of application development technology based on Web services, how to integrate Web services into workflow management system becomes a hot problem on current workflow research.With the research of Web services and workflow, the actualities of workflow management systems are analyzed, their shortcomings are pointed out. According to the reference model of the workflow which Workflow Management Coalition (WfMC) brought out, the architecture of workflow management system based on Web services is constructed, and it is divided into presentation layer, Web services layer, business logical layer and data layer. The Web service is introduced into workflow management system, to achieve collaboration through Web services within the system. And on the basis of the architecture, the design scheme of system function, workflow model, workflow engine, services registry center and workflow database are expounded. An enterprise' private registry center is designed in detail to manage internal application of department which are packaged as Web services, improve the operational efficiency of enterprises.In order to apply the workflow management system to office automation system in Sheng Jing Hospital of China Medical University, a design scheme of workflow management system based on Web services is detailed expounded. According to the specific design of the system, achieve process definition, process release, process monitoring, services registration center, Web services description, message communication of inter-services etc. This paper introduces Web services into workflow management system, implementation of calling and controlling the business operation activities packaged by Web services, making the interaction of different business activities in the business flow more easy and convenient; satisfy the various needs of hospital business processes.
