With the prevalence of the broadband internet, and the rapid development of network and multimedia technology, we have entered into an information world. With the maturation of non-real-time network teaching, the requirement of real-time teaching system has become more and more urgent. Real-time-teaching over internet have become the hotspot of research for Computer Aide Education. It makes education unlimited to spaces. The network architecture of our teaching system bases on b/s and c/s mixed-mode which combines the virtues of b/s mode and c/s mode. The system includes four segments: web server, multi-media server, teacher end and student end. The teacher end is the most important part of the system. It includes two parts: one is a manuscript-electronic-preparing for lessons software and the other is a software for broadcast multimedia information of teaching. The manuscript-electronic-preparing for lessons software combines the virtues of manuscript preparing and traditional electronic preparing for lessons. It stimulates students' interests and enhances students' ability of cognition. And broadcast software collects the screen of teacher's computer, teacher's video and andio. It encodes them into a asf stream and broadcast the asf stream. The management of the user's information and the forum are implemented on the web server end with the SQL database technology. There are multi-living broadcast points and multi-VOD points built on the Multi-media server end. Students can attend class over internet and intercourse with teacher.Practice has proved that there are many merits of the system, such as: low cost, flexibility and efficient, it can meet the basic requirements of real-time teaching.
