Optical Coherence Tomography(OCT) is one of the rapidly developed techniques for bio-tomography in the last few decades, following ultrasonic technology, X-ray Computed Tomography (XCT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI). It acquires the high resolution cross-section image of micromechanism in the interior organism tissue. Due to its advantages, including rapid imaging, non-invasive detecting, high resolution and so on, it has been widely applied in biomedical fields, especially in early diagnosis and dynamic monitoring for the system of eyes, skin, oral cavity and cardiovascular.In China, the suffering rate of oral disease reaches as high as 90 percent or more. As a new oral diagnostic technology, OCT will obtain large social benefits after its popularity in the oral clinic.Our lab is developing an oral OCT system, which is used for oral disease diagnosis and oral disease detection and striving to achieve early diagnosis of common multiple oral diseases, dynamic monitoring of oral rehabilitation's quality et al.. The OCT system should realize the characters of high resolution, high sensitivity, fast speed and real-time diagnosis. The paper established a rapid OCT system and designed a lateral scanning device to obtain two-dimensional image. In addition, this paper also designed a hand-hold probe for oral OCT to realize its hand-hold function, which is much more convenient to for oral clinic.This paper includes as follows:Deeply study the literature about OCT lateral scanning device. By analyzing the application environment and quality of each of them, choose the appropriate way to build our OCT lateral scanning device.Respectively select the driving components, the optical components and the assembly ways in order to establish the lateral scanning device. Base on the theoretical analysis of the lateral scanning device, complete performance experiments, access to driving voltage, frequency, scanning range and scanning path.Establish the rapid OCT system, match the fiber compensation, with realizing axial scanning by the optical delay line and fiber stretcher, which access to interference signal. Combine the lateral scanning device with the OCT system and obtain the two-dimensional tomography image. On one hand, obtain the synchronized signals by the acquisition card; on the other hand, analyze the wrong position of the image and get the correct image by software compensation.According to the structure characteristics of the oral probe, package the lateral scanning device and form a hand-hold probe for oral OCT, which also successfully obtains the two-dimensional tomography image...
