The use of network-based video image storage technology to achieve a large number of video image data storage is an important thought of video surveillance systems. However, the lack of network bandwidth, data transmission is too slow severely constrained applications of video image storage technology on the monitoring field. In response to this problem, this paper proposed a Video Image Storage Systems based on the Gigabit Ethernet. The system makes full use of parallel processing FPGA and SDRAM cache advantages enhance the speed of video storage, and it also introduced high performance 8-bit MCU to streamline the TCP/IP protocol stack to access Gigabit Network, greatly improve network bandwidth and transmission speed of the system, achieve a Gigabit network Video Storage Systems.In this paper, we conducted theoretical analysis and system design about the Gigabit Ethernet video image storage technology, through the debugging and verification to Gigabit Ethernet video image storage system, the results show that the system can store video image data stably, and transmit the stored data of the system through the gigabit network.
