Nowadays, with the rapid development in information technology, people need to receive and process increasingly more and more complex information. Video information as one of the most important part plays a particularly important role. How to make people get the critical information from a wide range of video source in the rapid, accurate, and easy way has become an important research topic. This paper studied multi-video multi-window synthesis display technology based on TMS320DM642 as a solution to solve this problem.In this paper, a variety of standard video signal and hardware in the system are described firstly. Secondly, Because that the real-time video signal has a tremendous volume of data, the new image scaling algorithms which need less calculation, for the video window zoom realization of multi-window display are studied. Then, the overlay principle of video and character is discussed. Finally, the system's software as the focus of this article is studied in chapters V and VI. The processing algorithm of a wide range of synthetic display mode is researched, which is successfully used for synthesis display. The design of system function module initialization is studied in detail. The algorithms and programming of several main display modes (for example, divided equally between the four shows, transparent display, character overlay, etc.) are discussed too.
