Based on the studies of the piezoelectric ink-jet printer ink-jet process to explore the mechanism of piezoelectric ink-jet, so as to improve print quality and speed.First of all, the thesis introduces the structure and the basic principles of the Helmholtz resonator and the ink-jet head of piezoelectric ink-jet printer. Secondly, the ink-jet head is modeled as a Helmholtz resonator. By studying the characteristics of Helmholtz resonator, establishing an ink-jet head of the dynamic model of the liquid. After simulating and calculating the model, getting the relation among the liquid displacement, velocity and time. Finally, to be closed to the actual situation, the dynamic model is improved by considering energy disspation which is caused by the container wall impeding liquid flow. By simulating and analysing the improved model, the thesis provides a theoretical basis and basic information for designing , manufacturing printers and improving print quality.
