As an important part of guidance system, radio compass is an integrant equipment of aircraft. It has advantages of low frequency, mature technology, less investment and easy-to-achieve. Navigation stations are equipped in most airports in China. Considering of its cost and application, radio compass has a bright future in a very long time .With the development of new technologies, aircraft on-board equipment continues updating. To enhance the equipment reliability, maintenance, anti-jamming performances and operation, digital design becomes a necessary choice. However, the existing analog technology could not meet the requirements of assemble. Based on the basic principles of radio compass and the application of advanced technology, this thesis presents two digital compass design ideas, after that, a comparation is made to determine the ultimate digital design scheme.The most regular error of compass receiver is fail to orient for interference from local radio. This jamming belongs to intermodulation interference. A simulation of modules which are easy to be intermodulation interferenced is made in chpater 4 to quantitatively analysis the effect of nonlinear parameters to intermodulation interference.Finally, several methods are presented to decrease intermodulation interference, and the advantages and disadvantages are compared to demonstrate the consclusions.
