Research On Ad Hoc Network Routing Protocol-FZRP

Ad Hoc network is one of the most important technologies in the beyond-3G era. It is used more and more widely in this world. Routing protocol is one of the key technologies in implementing Ad Hoc network. Now, networks are heading toward the direction of becoming larger. How to design a kind of Routing Protocol which is able to support large scale Ad Hoc networks is a challenging task.In this paper, the existing Routing Protocols for Ad Hoc networks are introduced. The ZRP (Zone Routing Protocol) and FSR (Fisheye State Routing) was given more attention. The ZRP was improved by use FSR as IARP of ZRP. Then,FZRP(Fisheye Zone Routing Protocol)is proposed for the large scale Ad Hoc network. It is able to reduce the overhead of the large scale Ad Hoc network. OMNET++ software is used to set up the simulation model and the performances of ZRP and FZRP are simulated and compared. Simulations show that, FZRP out performs the traditional ZRP in overhead. The scheme is proved to be efficient.
