| Software is playing an increasingly important role in modern life and widely used in all walks of life, so the quality of software has become the most important software industry issue. Because of the special nature of the software, the bug is inevitable in the process of development. A strong software testing is a guarantee to the quality of software. However, the current software testing technology and theory can not meet the rapid development of the software industry needs. Therefore, it is a necessity to research the theory and methods of software testing.Software testing gradually formed a number of widely accepted and application of the test models and test methods during the development of several decades. This paper has analyzed the development of the theory of software testing; pointed out the shortcomings of V and W models; colligated and improved the above of two models. The focus is to explore various stages of the parallel. At the same time balancing process control and the description of the test object, bring forward to use a new test model. This paper has analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of black box testing and white box testing and proposed a gray box testing method which combined the black box testing and white box testing together. The gray box method always uses in the integration testing. This paper has combined Client/Server software testing method and tools together and used them on the ATM system. The author has compartmentalized the function structure of ATM; analyzed the test demanding; made a test plan of ATM system; designed the test process and the test case by using the new test method and model. At last, the author has completed the testing and then evaluated and analyzed test results.It is proved that the introduction of the new model and test methods has improved the efficiency of testing and the testing cost is saved too.In this paper, the next research object is to apply the automatic testing theory into more test projects. |
