The computer simulation of human movement is an effective means of studying the principles of the human motion, and it is emerged as an important technology with the combination of biomechanics and computer vision. Also the modeling and simulation of the human is an important part of the virtual reality field. The research of modeling and simulation of human body and the acquirement of relevant data is very important for the athletes training, the protection of casualties, clinical medicine, labor protection, the analysis of traffics and the design of sports rehabilitation equipment, etc. In recent years, the study of human movement is gradually aroused the concern of scholars, which are from different fields, so it is a topic worthy of study.Based on the knowledge of Human Anatomy and the multi-body dynamics, the movement of human lower extremity is simulated in this paper. Firstly, the occlude model of human lower extremity's thigh and leg is established using the software tool ADAMS. In process of modeling for lower extremity, the lower extremity is simplified as thighbone and shankbone joined by knee joint for the patella is very small. There is anther assumption that the femur and tibia are simulated as cylindrical rigid body for their shape are similar to cylinder. Secondly, the muscles which are related to the flexion-extension and rotation outside or inside motion are classified according to muscle function. Also, the data information of muscles' starting and ending points is simplified without affecting the normal movement of human lower extremity. The tension-length-velocity model is adopted in this paper through comparing and analyzing the muscle models. Lastly, the muscles which are related to the flexion-extension and rotation outside or inside motion are added to the model in the form of point-point force. Several general movements of muscles-skeletons model of human lower extremity are simulated for researching the variety principles of force and torque of every joints in process of movement using the kinematics and dynamics analysis function of ADAMS.In this paper, the people's visual needs to human movement are fully taking into account, the visual model of human lower extremity is established with ADAMS. It plays an important role for aid analysis of experimental results. In the experiment, the corresponding simulation results are analyzed, and the correctness of the model is confirmed. The simulation method based on dynamics about human lower extremity which this paper proposed will provide a feasible way for designing reasonable humanoid bodies.
