The Design And Implementation Of SI Generator Software Of The Headend Of Digital TV Set-Top Box

According with Digital Video Broadcasting(DVB) standard 13818, digital TV Set-Top box headend SI Generator software cooperating with other headend software, such as SI Editor, Data Broadcast Server, Stock Editor, News Editor, Weather forecast Editor and Electronic Program Guide(EPG) Editor, broadcast Service Information data, audio, video and application bitstream through broadcast card, multiplexer and modulator. This software provides audiences not only rich and colorful TV programs and games, but also valuable information, such as stock market, real time weather forecasting and program guide.This paper trusses the SI Generator software that contains five modules such as UI, Configure and Monitor, Database Input, Packing and Data Output, based on studying and analyzing the related digital television standards and the whole architecture of the digital TV Set-Top box. The software implements the function of section and transport stream packing, basic table editing and DBS broadcasting of the corresponding table, these tables contain PAT, NIT, BAT, SDT, PMT and AIT. The software designing contains module partition, interface design, class design, data storage design and thread design. In the module designing and implementing, this software mainly used factory, single, prototype, bridge, decorate, template and observer design patterns.This system is developed by Visual C++ and provides users a simple and multifunctional semiautomated management platform with functions of optional parameter configuration, information editing, broadcasting and storage, it basically contents the demand of business management.
